Steeped in the aura of the perennially mythologized psychedelic culture of Southern California, The Stevenson Ranch Davidians has, since 2006, revealed itself in shifting configurations; making music influenced by the timeless essence of ‘60s psych, folk and soul, woven with strands of early American roots music. While the lineup has continually coalesced around lead singer and songwriter Dwayne Seagraves, the collective has always had a guiding vision and goal: to create music that seeks to simultaneously demystify and deify the human experience.

The other members bring a range of talent, experience and inspiration to The Stevenson Ranch Davidians’ sound. In addition to founding member and Davidians’ bassist, Jessica Latiolait, the band includes producer and long time Brian Jonestown Massacre member Rob Campanella on guitar and lap steel. On drums is Misha Bullock, the sole Englishman in the fold and composer by day. The newest edition to the collective is Sara Minsavage on keyboards, shakes and jangles.

After releasing their third LP, Amerikana, in 2017 the band embarked on two extensive European tours in 2018 and 2019 while also recording what will be their fourth full length collection of songs. In early 2020 the band began a monthly residency in the Bay Area until being forced into an indefinite hiatus due to various governmental mandates during the Covid outbreak.

In the summer of 2023 the band reemerged to work on the finishing touches of their latest recordings with plans to jump back into the live music circuit and release a record in 2024.

"Teotwawki" 2013 Demo w/ Video

I wrote and recorded this demo in 2013. In fact, it's one of only two songs I wrote between 2010 and 2016. Seemed apropos in these strange times so I hope it makes ya feel alright. ❤️✳️

Baby, if the world should ever end will you stay with me til then? Will I still be your man?

Baby, I know you think I’m crazy but I can’t help how I feel. This is all just too real.

Every time I look around, I see everything. My eyes are open wide.Life is not a dream.

Oh baby, when it all hits the fan, you know you can depend on me, right then.

Baby, I know we’ll be alright. By the gun and the knife, I’ll be sure we survive.

Everywhere you look today, you see The State. We can’t ignore the endless wars, what might be our fate.

Oh Honey, they could destroy our money. I know you think that’s funny but it has happened before.

Baby, all the things I’ve put away, we can barter and trade for the things we can’t make.

Every time I talk this way, you turn away. You can have my silver and gold if you’ll just stay.

Oh, don’t go. Please just stay. Don’t go away.

Oh baby, If they ever drop the bomb, we’d both be safe from harm, in a hole in the yard.

Baby. If it all comes to an end, I’d be a happy man. We could all start again.

Oh we could all, start again.

European Distribution and Tour

Sheesh! It's only March and this year is shaping up to be pretty swell. For starters, we get the distinct honor of opening five shows for The Brian Jonestown Massacre this May and now I can announce that The Davidians have been added to the roster at El Borracho Bookings and will be embarking on our first ever tour of Europe for the entire month of October in support of the European release of our latest LP, "Amerikana". (I know! Wow! Finally!) Dates and cities will be announced soon!

Coincidentally, we have also just recently made some progress in finding a potential outlet for European distribution via Fuzz Club out of London, UK. I say "potential" because they have very graciously offered to do a presale on their website for "Amerikana" (Cds and Vinyl) but those sales will determine whether or not it will be in their interest to continue to sell and distribute our records in the future. Of course such a deal would also help get our music into the hands and ears of a lot more people across the globe so it just feels kinda important. Big thanks to our U.S. label, Picture In My Ear for making this happen!

So this is where I ask you, friends, for some good old fashioned grassroots support. We've got some pretty good forward momentum going right now and this is just one of those things that can really help keep it goin in that direction. So..... if anything we have ever put out into this world has meant anything to you over the last god knows how many years, I am asking you to help us continue to be able to put stuff out into this world by going to the link below and trading some of your hard earned federal reserve notes for something that was made with love, for you. (Yes, Really.) So Buy a Cd. Buy Vinyl. Buy both and give one to a friend. Put it in somebody's Easter basket this Sunday. (I'm pretty sure Jesus would want you to do that!) It probably goes wihtout saying that this isn't about money. Everyone knows that there is little to no money to be made in such endeavors. What I want are more opportunities for our music to be heard by more people! So if you feel like helping us do that then just go ahead and get yourself right on over to this little link right HERE!

Thank you all in advance and a very big thanks to all who have already supported us in any way throughout the years. It sure has meant a lot to us.
